After a five hour drive from Medford I was ready for some pampering in Napa. We arrived at the Westin Versa Napa an hour ahead of sunset. Parking was free. There was a very friendly front desk attendant that checked me in and gave
The suite was huge with a large living and dining area, a full kitchen, separate bedroom, two bathrooms and a large deck overlooking the pool and hills. The hotel location is amazing, with the Napa Valley Wine Train across the street and the Oxbow Commons walking trails with plenty of doggy poop bags right outside the hotel, which was very dog friendly with no pet fee.
We went for a quick walk at sunset and again the next morning into downtown which was a simple walk over the bridge or through the Oxbow Commons. The downtown area is very cute with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shopping, an art walk, a river walk and historic homes. Back at the Westin, the breakfast which I had as my Titanium amenity was great with house made granola and yogurt and they allowed me to eat on the patio with Oliver.
The gym and outdoor pool areas were outstanding as well. Overall an
amazing hotel in a great location for downtown Napa and a perfect stay
when bringing a dog.
